Torsion Conversion

Some garage doors come with a proprietary torsion lift system. We use a traditional torsion spring system, which offers a higher quality and longer life cycle. Our traditional torsion spring system uses springs that are a thicker gauge steel than the springs in proprietary systems. Our systems also use thicker cable gauges and aluminum drums instead of plastic, providing you with the best quality for long-term performance. We are proud to say that all of our springs are made in the USA.

In order to use the traditional torsion spring system, a garage door must be converted. This conversion involves the removal and disposal of the old spring system and the installation of new cables, bearing plates, center bearing plate, three sealed bearings, torsion tube, springs, and aluminum drums.

For quality sake, we choose torsion conversions that have an extra-long cycle life. This ensures that you won't need anything more than routine maintenance for many years to come.
